"These pieces represent the steady and vast skyscape that we enjoy and appreciate in Nebraska. In many places unhindered by trees, the horizon line is a welcome sight that gives direction and stability. I was motivated to paint these skies due to the comforting cycle of shadow and light we witness each day. It is at once reassuring, beautiful, and consistent.....and for this I am grateful."

Living in the Nebraska Sandhills provide a source of solace and inspiration.
The images portrayed in this show are images seen whether driving to work or working around home.
Through these paintings, I hope to evoke memories or experiences that reach the viewer’s soul.
“Even Now” states the idea that through my paintings, I hope to share the soul of the Sandhills.

"The NOLA I Know"
"The region is saturated with romance, and so full of present sentiment and picturesqueness that I can fancy no ground more congenial to the artist and the story-teller." -- So said Charles Dudley Warner in 1887 about New Orleans, and it is as true today. I've captured thousands of everyday scenes in "NOLA" over the last 10-12 years, as I feel it is America's most photogenic city. And as Tennessee Williams said, it's "one of the last frontiers of Bohemia." Welcome to the NOLA I know.
