Everyday is an opportunity to reimagine yourself and your world. It’s okay to reinvent your creative voice and express yourself in a new way. Creativity is limitless.
The paintings you see are about what and where I live - the beauty of the Sandhills of Nebraska. The scenes you see are places and images I have experienced, whether someplace on our ranch or traveling down the road. The subject matter is endless. One need not travel far to see the beauty at our feet.
These paintings are all about simplicity. The barns are little story tellers, each contributing in their own way. Light and shadow does its thing as it falls across the land, while hay bales add rhythm. Enjoy!
I have switched from acrylics to painting with pastels. I love the vibrant hues, dimensionality and tactile qualities that pastels provide.
I’m very pleased that my art will fill the “Special Exhibit” room the entire month of June at the Burkholder Project.
'Oh Scrap - A Modern Take on Scrap Quilts': Members of the Lincoln Modern Quilt Guild were challenged to use fabric scraps to create a modern scrap or scrappy quilt. The LMQG is a non-profit group that welcomes all levels of quilt enthusiasts. We are pleased to host their scrap challenge quilts upstairs in Studio 12.
