J. K. Thorsen

Thorsen’s art begins from within, from personal experiences, and memorable images.  Meant to be lasting, the artist says, “it goes well if my art can distance a few constraints for a viewer; maybe intimately relate, and possibly change one’s direction, if even for a moment.”

In her latest works, she gives us a personal mix of modern paintings while incorporating more earth-friendly materials. Known as an oil painter, Thorsen is versed in varied mediums, and an adept designer of apparel, textile and décor.
